Types of Home Additions

Conventional home addition
Conventional home additions are bigger additions than bump outs, where they typically add more than one room, and are accessible from more than one pre-existing room.
Conventional home additions are best used for adding multiple larger rooms, either to expand the living area and make room for new activities, or for in-law apartments since there’s space for the necessary kitchen and bathroom.
Expanding the ground floor is the most cost effective form of a conventional home addition, but they can also be done by building on top of current floors as well.
